Dunbeg Fort Visitor Centre is an impressive and elaborate example of a promontory fort. Its location makes it one of the most dramatic archaeological sites on the Dingle Peninsula.
The oldest cave paintings in the world with various phases of human life, old dinosaur eggs, an ancient Egyptian mummy case and much more are found at the Celtic & Prehistoric Museum. Gallarus Oratory visitor centre located on the Dingle Peninsula has been established for some years now and has seen many visitors from all parts of the world pass through it year in and year out.
The Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium offers an amazing display of various tropical fresh water species as well as deadly Piranhas, Pacu and Catfish found in this region. One can even enjoy the underwater experience and a walk through the underground tunnel tank.
The Great Blasket Island off the Dingle Peninsula is renowned for its historic, cultural and literary heritage. Chorca Dhuibhne Regional Museum is located in the old schoolhouse in Ballyferriter which also houses a cafe and a book shop.
