Tourist Guide Doneraile

Doneraile town is situated in County Cork, in Ireland. Almost 12 km to the north of Mallow, Doneraile stands on the north slope of Knockahur Hill. As it was near the graveyard of Old court and a nearby ancient fort, it was named as Doneraile, meaning the fort on the cliff.

Once here, one can see that the countryside around this place is scenic with a wealth of historical places to see. Many can visit the Doneraile Wildlife Park which is spread around 166 hectares of area and is a perfect example of an 18th century landscaped park.
