When to go to Dublin : July and August are the peak months of the tourist season. During this season, the weather is pleasant and the hotels are more crowded.

April and May is the season when spring flowers are at their best while October offers several art festivals.

During winter, it gets dark quite early and because of this many attractions and museums close early during the winter season.

ATMs in the city will accept cards from most countries. Major credit cards such as American Express, Visa and MasterCard are well accepted around the city. Internet and email access is easily available. If using a laptop, it is advisable to have a universal AC adaptor with a three pin plug adaptor. A global modem is also recommended as some modems fail to work in Ireland.

The Euro (€) is used in the Republic of Ireland, however, in the North of Ireland the Pound Sterling (£) is still used.

Travelers' cheques and foreign exchange are provided in banks throughout the country.
