Dublin Airport is situated in Colinstown in Dublin. It is the busiest airport of Ireland, where more than 23.3 million travelers are transported every year.
The majority of passengers are international travelers. The airport is easily accessible from many parts of Dublin city via taxi and buses. The frequency of buses is good. Taxis are more convenient as they can connect any two points in the city, unlike local buses.
The Metro North, underground railway service connects Swords town and Dublin city center with the airport.
The major airlines serving the airport include Aer Lingus, which is the flag carrier of Ireland. Other airlines like Ryanair, CityJet and Aer Arann also serve the airport.
Nearly 44 airlines cover more than 150 destinations. The airport consists of numerous restaurants, food joints and gift shops. The airport has plans to develop further in the near future. There will be new services and recreational venues included in the airport amenities.
