Irish Museum of Modern Art is situated at Royal Hospital, Kilmainham in Dublin and is open daily from 10 to 5.30 except on Mondays and is open from 12 to 5.30 on Sunday and other bank holidays.
There are around 4,500 works in the museum collected since 1990 but the permanent collection comprises of around 1,650 works which reflect some exciting trends in international as well as local art.
The work consist of a collection of work done by Willie Doherty and Paul Seawright, George and Gilbert, sculpture by Kathy Prendergast, Dorothy Cross, Barry Flanagan and more, paintings by Peter Halley, Francesco Clemente, Sean Scully and others.
The museum is the most prominent one of modern and contemporary art which presents a wide variety of art in a continuous flow of exhibitions which are regularly held here from time to time. The museum has won numerous awards for its education and community programs.
