Ireland has a booming, modern economy with industry as an important sector (employing nearly one-third of the labour force). The country is said to be the world’s largest exporter of software-related goods and services. Rising investments, construction and consumer expenditures have also proved beneficial to the economy.
The cost of living in Ireland is quite high. The country has a well-developed network of railways and buses for inland transportation.
