Ross Castle is an ancestral house of the O’Donoghue clan and is better known for its association with the Brownes of Killarney who owned it. This historic building is situated on the edge of Lough Leane in Killarney National Park. It was built in the late 1400s. It is possible to go on a boat trip on the lake during the summer. One can also opt to go on a hiking path.
