Cervinia lies 6,581 feet above sea level, at the foot of Monte Cervino enclosed by huge mountains. It has around 56 runs with 24 lift systems.
The town even hosted the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT) World Championships in the year, 1971, 1975 and 1985 respectively.
With right to climate, Cervinia is known for long seasons due to high altitude and plenty of sunshine. All of the months in this place are below 10 degree Celsius. It is the coldest place in Italy where the climate is confirmable.
As far as population is concerned, it was 700 in 2008.
Cervinia is a complete tourist destination with ample skiing opportunities and winter resorts. The Matterhorn Mountain is one of the popular mountains in Europe and can be explored whilst in Cervinia.
