Courmayeur is an Italian town located in the autonomous region of Aosta valley, in Northern Italy. It is located at the foot of Mont Blanc. The valley and higher mountains of the Courmayeur experiences different climates, both in summer and winter. In summer the mountain experience warm weather, but is covered with clouds. Summer tends to be rainy with thunderstorms. Courmayeur is a small picturesque Italian village with a ski area across the valley. The village provides a cozy atmosphere with a warren of narrow cobblestone streets, small bars and fabulous restaurants. According to the census of 2006, Courmayeur had a population of 2798 people. The population density is 34 people per square mile an hour’s population. For skiing, the slopes are accessible by cable cars stretching across the valley, and the short return to town is by bus.
