When to visit
The Aosta Valley or Valle d’Aosta in Italian is a beautiful mountainous region situated in North West of Italy. One of the major reasons why tourists visit this region is for it has one of the major national parks in Italy, the Gran Paradiso, home to nature wonders and trails. Other attraction is the Monte Rosa peak, having amazing slopes to ski. Aosta Valley is a favorite region for winter sports activities. Moreover, this region is famous for the Bataille des Reines festival and the Fiera de Sant’Orso festival. It’s a mountain lover’s paradise too. Skiing season lasts from November to April, with most of the glacier sites being open for skiing year around. Those who would want to experience the summers can visit this region during the month of July when the temperature is at its maximum of well over 20 degrees Celsius.
