Paestum is a home to loads of cemeteries and ruined temples. It’s, in fact, a bay along shores of ‘Tyrrhenian Sea’. Remains at this place remind one of ‘Greek architecture’; upon Italy’s mainland. This place was discovered by Greeks under name of ‘Poseidonia’ from Sybaris in around 600 BC. It was passed in to hands of Lucanians in 4th century BC. As such, in 273 BC, this place became one of the ‘Roman colonies’.
