The National Archaeological Museum is the most important and largest archaeological museum in Europe. At this museum, one can get to see most of the findings from excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii, two towns which were destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius, in the year 79 AD. There are also beautiful collections of Farnese period like the marble and bronze statues.
