Vomero is the central district of Naples, Italy. It is a densely urbanized area with hilly region. Vomero has probably derived its name from ancient agricultural function and from the word “Vomere”.
These days Vomero has developed into a pure residential zone leaving behind its past ancient history. It is connected with the northern suburban quarters and the city centre due to the new underground train system.
It has helped a lot in easing out traffic congestion and speed up transportation.
