One of the most well known volcanos on the earth’s surface is the Mount Vesuvius which is an active volcano. The Mount Vesuvius national park was inaugurated in 1995 with an aim to preserve the natural environment near the mountain. The park has a rich combination of flora and fauna. The rare species of the Oaken Mouse can be found here apart from beech marten, fox, wild rabbit etc.
