This is the only example of noble architecture and is the palace of the noble family De Iorio. This fortified structure was built before the'500 and was the home of Giovanni da Procida, the first feudal lord of the island and hero of the Sicilian Vespers. Since 1656 the building was used as a Conservatory.The island of Procida is fishing and a bathing resort with a good rural produce. It is covered with rich vegetation mostly consisting of citrus groves and vineyards.
