Piazza Maggiore is a beautiful square situated in Bologna and was created in 1200. It is also one of the best squares in Italy. This square is surrounded by the Palazzo d’Accursio, the Palazzo dei Notai and the Palazzo del Podesta. These are the historic buildings which were built from the 14th and the 15th century. There is also the San Petronio Basilica. This square is also the prestigious monumental center of the city.
