Tourist Guide Maranello
Maranello is a town situated 18km from Modena in the Emilia Romagna state of Italy. Maranello is best known as the home of Ferrari motorcar company and their racing team, including their corporate museum and private 'Fiorano' racing track.
Such is the impact of the historic sports car company on the town, that everywhere you turn you can find merchandise and even be able to rent a new or classic Ferrari by the hour from several private companies - to get a feel for the speed and noise made famous by Ferrari. You can even watch over the Fiorano track from a local bridge to watch and hear the Ferrari racing team testing their latest track and road cars. The towns church bells sing accross Maranello every time the Ferrari team wins a race!
Maranello may be all about Ferrari, but don't forget to eat while in the area. The whole Emilia Romagna area is famous for its cuisine, so indulge in delicious pastas and salads with local balsamic vinegar while you visit.
