San Vitale 's Basilica is situated in Ravenna in Italy. It dates back to the mid eight century and has some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the western world. Its construction was initiated by Ecclesius, the Bishop of Ravenna. It was constructed in 526. It got consecrated in 548 by Archbishop Maximian. It is known as the most largest and sumptuous churches in Ravenna.
