Rimini is located along the Adriatic Sea on the eastern coast of Italy. This resort city of approximately 136,000 inhabitants is the biggest beach resort on the Adriatic coastline. Traditionally, the occupation of the residents has been fishing and coast navigation.
The climate of this region is largely affected by the Adriatic Sea; it can be visited anytime of the year. The summer temperatures hover around 30°C. The average winter temperature is around 10°C.
The region of Rimini has been the site of very ancient settlements. It has been an important trading town from the early days and has thus been the subject of many feuds in the past. With the development of tourism in this area, it has emerged as a thriving holiday resort town.
