The castle of Miramare (Italianized form of the Spanish Miramar) was built by Maximilian of Habsburg, Archduke of Austria and Emperor of Mexico, to make their stay comfortable along with his wife Carlotta of Belgium.
The castle was used as a museum and it also preserves a valuable collection of Oriental vases.
Inside, you can see the rooms that were inhabited by Maximilian and his wife Carlotta, the guest rooms, a room of information that tells the story of the castle and the park construction, the rooms in which lived the Duke Amedeo d 'Aosta decorated in 1930 style rationalist.
