True Roman cuisine is hard to find these days as the old Osterie are constantly been taken over by fancier places. But a few exceptions can still be foud.
At Da Enzo on via di Santa Cecilia in Trastevere you can find Bucatini alla Matriciana or Cacio e Pepe how it used to be made. On the other side of the river, in Testaccio, last places which make Trippa alla Romana, fried insides of a goat, with the same raw taste too often lost today, are hidden in the small alleys.
If the latter seems a little too much in San Lorenzo is Formula 1, students' favourite pizza place for both the prices and the quality. A Pizza and beer are aroud 8 euros.
