In two days you'll have the chance to admire and appreciate some of Rome's most wonders as in the arts and in its historical and archaeological values!

You may start your first day at the grandiose church of St.Peter's , which opens at 7am, inside you will see Michelangelo's Pietà and the other amazing sights inside, and tour the tombs of popes under the basilica before climbing its dome for an amazing view of the city across the river!  Then head for the Vatican walls to get to the entrance to the world-famous Vatican Museums, which open at 9am.  Probably you'll have time only for the highlights of its artistic wonders: the Pinacoteca painting gallery with Raphael's Transfiguration and Caravaggio's Deposition, the Raphael's Rooms, and Michelangelo's incomparable Sistine Chapel's ceiling.

After lunch head for the ancient Pantheon the only ancient Roman temple to have survived the centuries intact, nearby walking up Corso Vittorio you'll get to one of Rome's prettiest squares, Piazza Navona.  There you'll admire Bernini's fountains.

If you have the energy, you might squeeze in a visit to the ancient Roman collections in the gorgeous Palazzo Altemps just off the north end of the piazza...  Head over to Trastevere area for dinner and there are many pubs and wine bars..On your second day you may start your day at the Roman Forum wandering the ruins where orators once held forth, senators debated, and Julius Caesar strode the streets!  Nearby after a short walk you'll get to the Colosseum,  You can catch after a bus back to Piazza Venezia and make your way to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, after a passeggiata along Via del Corso, and in two days, well you'll dwell on what catches your attention the most!
