Piazza Navona is a famous city square in Rome and follows the plan of an ancient Roman circus. This square was known as “Circus Agonalis”, meaning competition arena. Defined in the 15th century as a public square, the square has many sculptural and architectural creations by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Some of the monuments on the Piazza Navona are Palazzo de Cupis, Palazzo Braschi and Stabilimenti Spagnoli.
