When to visit
Lazio, a beautiful region around Rome in Italy, is worth visiting for any tourist for its affluent cultural, spiritual, beautiful sandy beaches and architectural heritage. Other than exploring the archaeological sites, ruins and ancient monuments, one can get to taste its authentic traditional cuisine, most renowned in Italy.
Each year, the region of Lazio is packed with tourists from all over the world, to explore the natural wilderness of the region, its countless historic structures and the mountainous landscapes. Because of this, Lazio is the favorite spot for hosting many events, exhibits and fairs, much loved worldwide.
This city can be visited any time of the year. It experiences warm summers with high temperature rising in the month of May, lasting till October with cold winters (December through February). Well, the best time to visit Lazio is spring (late March through May) and autumn. For those who love to enjoy with crowds can visit this region in June or September. However, if one wants to explore the Italian countryside and the outdoor activities, May and October are the favorable months to visit Lazio due to more moderate, but still warm temperatures.
The festival of the Infiorata held in the month of June is one of its best festivals held here since last two centuries. The month of October brings with it an annual event, white wine tasting event with a procession, music and periodic costumes.
