Tourist guide Bormio

Bormio is a town situated in Sondrio province, Lombardy region of the Italian Alps. It currently has a population of 4,500.

Bormio lies at the head of the Valtellina valley formed by the Adda River and is linked to other valleys via four passes.

Bormio is best known as a popular, upmarket ski resort but is also noted for its hot spring spa baths.

The town centres around the historic Piazza Cavour and Via Roma and, unlike  traditional Alpine resorts, has more the flavour of a typically medieval Italian village.
