Civico Archeologico Paolo Giovio is situated in Como home to the most fascinating finds in this sizable collection of civilizations past, with everyday items from roman era- eating, jewelry, tools, utensils, some exquisite and remarkably well-preserved glassware. The exhibits, that fills every of the museum are Greek, Etruscan and Roman pieces from all over Italy. One can even get the glimpse of Roman architecture outside the museum.
The museum consists of library specializing in the field of musicology, museum guides, paleoecology and archeology and complementary sciences. It is one of the nicest museums of Italy with vast collection of modest sizes. It is a must visit place to get aware of the history and take full advantage. The museum remains open on all days except on Mondays.
