The Volta Temple or the Tempio Voltiano is situated on the shore of Lake Como. This place was built in the honor of the famous Italian physicist, Alessandro Volta in 1927. Alessandro Volta had invented the Electronic Battery. The museum at this place houses his original findings and documents which explain his work. Before the Euro came into to use, the Italian banknote (10000 Lira) had his picture along with the building.
