Tourist guide Milan

Milan, the economic & financial capital of Italy, is located in the Lombardy plains in the north of the country. This city of approximately 1,300,000 inhabitants is one of the wealthiest European cities.

Milan has a typically continental climate. Winters are chilly with fog and the occasional snowfall. Summers are hot and humid with temperatures in July reaching 29°C. Early spring is the best time to visit, with the average temperature at 18°C.

The tag of being one of the fashion capitals of the world may be new but its roots are deep; Milan has had a flourishing textile industry for over 400 years, and the oldest mall in the world can also be found here.

Today, boutiques and designer showrooms stand alongside museums and churches in Milan and attract fashion aficionados and tourists alike.
