Marsala resembles an ancient Roman camp and is home to a number of historical attractions and structures. One of the most important structures here is the Roman Insula, which is a Roman complex from the third century AD. The complex consists of a huge villa, a number of thermal baths and a number of smaller houses.
One of the other popular locations includes the Archaeological Museum, which boasts of prehistoric and Roman remains. The Enomuseum, which exhibits wine-making techniques of the area, is another popular location.
Some of the other important structures in Marsala include the Norman’s Cathedral, Church of the Purgatory and Church of Saint John which was built over a cave.
