If you’re in Cagliari for any length of time, chances are you’re going to find yourself at Poetto Beach - whether it’s for sunbathing and swimming in the daytime, or living it up all night long at its many clubs and bars.
It’s a long, beautiful beach, and there’s plenty of public transport to get there. In fact, that’s how you’ll most likely be told directions - by “fermate,” or stops along the beach road where the buses stop. It’s the easiest way to explain where a particular location is. Poetto is fun without being too raucous, and you’re sure to make plenty of new friends as you hang out or party with the locals.
