The Bastion of San Remy is located in the historic Castello neighborhood, up on the hill, so it’s not easy to miss. While some might balk at climbing the huge set of steps, take your time and do it - you’ll have plenty of opportunity to catch your breath at the Terrace Umberto I as you look out over pretty much all of Cagliari. ù
There are also a couple bars up there, so make that your goal and you can’t lose. Then once you’ve caught your breath and had some refreshment, check out whatever art exhibition they have at the Piazza della Costituzione; they’re always well curated and interesting.
