Tourist Guide Dorgali
Set amidst the picturesque settings, Dorgali is a paradise for nature lovers.
Comprising of a population of 8000 people in the vast area of 225 square kilometers, it is a commune in the Province of Nuoro located in the Italian region of Sardinia. Overlooking the Gulf of Orosei, the coastline is spectacular with cliffs and beaches notable being the Grotto del Bue Marino.
The economy of Dorgali relies on the wine production and tourism and houses important archaeological evidence of the people of different cultures like the Nurgaic people which flourished between the 5000 and 1800 BC.
Dorgali is an archeologist’s delight with presence of priceless relics like the ancient village of Arvu with Nuraghe and structures that date back to a following Punic-Roman attendance. The region is also known for its wine and the craftwork in filigree and leatherwork.
