When to visit
Sardinia is the second largest island in Italy, to the southeast of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea. Rich with different cultures, it is a forte of beautiful beaches. A first class destination for those seeking privacy and luxury in Italy, it can be worthwhile to visit Sardinia at different times of the year, especially if seeking a peaceful and adventurous holiday time. The beach may not be warm year round, but there are many interesting things to do like exploring the city when the flowers bloom in the months of March, April and May or September. The high season is the summer months from July to September. For non-mainstream travelers, spring and early summer is the best time to visit Sardinia. August is the busiest month of the year with this island being the center point for holidaying families and the prices get higher due to this. Also, most of the festivals are held in August, like the Ferragosto or the Saint Mary Feast with festivals and parades in the winter season. November to March is the off season, with fewer crowds and anybody interested to attend festivals can visit Sardinia throughout the year, as it’s a focal point for all.
