Castello Ursino is a beautiful castle which is situated in Catania. It was built from 1239 to 1250 and belonged to the Emperor Frederick II, the king of Sicily. At present, the castle houses the Catania Civico Museum and also a gallery of local art. Some of the displays include artifacts and artwork from the castle and some great geographical area. These items date back to the classical era and the diverse influences of the Sicilian history.
