Giardini Naxos, with its wide expanse of beautiful beaches and archaeological sites, is a bustling tourist destination. The exotic beaches of the Ionian Sea, with their pure waters and nearby beach-cafes, are highly popular among the foreign tourists.
Some of the important archaeological sites are the Naxos Museum of Archaeology, which boasts of a wide variety of prehistoric objects from the Greek, Roman and Byzantine civilizations, and the Archaeological Park. The park contains the remains of small temples, old walls and furnaces.
The city is also home to a number of important historical structures like the Schiso Castle, Vignazza Tower and Church of St. Pantaleo.
