Palazzo Mirto was the residence of the 19th century Palermitan aristocracy. At present, this historic building is open for public. Inside the palace there is a succession of luxuriously decorated rooms including the grand ballroom. A visit to this palace is like a journey back in time. In 1982, the surviving last family member of the princes of Lanzi Filangeri donated the palazzo to the city government to preserve as a memorial to a vanished era.
