St John catacomb is known as the largest community cemetery in Siracusa, after the Peace of the Church. It has huge epigraphic documentation. It appears from the plan of the monument and the layout, that the catacomb of St. John was originated after 313 and continued its life for over 4rth and 5fth centuries too. It also is an exclusive kind of burial with multiple depositions.
