Bolzano is located in Italy in the Trentino-Alto Adige/Sudtirol region and is the capital of the province called Bolzano-Bozen which is situated in the northernmost region of Italy.
To the east and north of this province is Austria while to the west is Switzerland. These provinces also borders with the Italian provinces called Sondrio, Trento and Belluno.
Bolzano has the sunniest and driest weather in this province. The climate is humid subtropical one with hot summers and cold winters.
The population of this city was 101,063 in March 2008.
In this city there are 73 percent Italian speaking individuals, 26 percent German speaking, foreigners around 7 percent and just 1 percent are Ladin speaking.
