Trento is a city in Italy situated in the Adige river valley and is the capital of Trentino which is an autonomous province.
The Adige valley is a wide glacial valley and here Trento is located where the Avisio and Fersina rivers join the Adige River.
This valley is encircled by mountains called the Monte Calisio, the Marzola, the Paganella, the Vigolana and the Monte Bondone.
The population of Trento is approximately 112,637. This city has a relatively mild weather with autumn from September to November, summer from June to August, spring from March to May and winter from December to February.
Trento is a place where the Italian culture gets combined with the Central European culture and is a city full of history and arts.
Amongst the Alpine cities Trento is a unique place due to the Renaissance-style features.
