Among the main places to visit in Trento, don't miss to see the Basilica Duomo di S. Vigilio. The bishop had given the task of constructing this edifice to the sculptor architect Adamo d’ Arogno.
The left flank that faces the square is the main front as it has rich and extensive ornaments. The door of the bishop is the dominant element and this is preceded by a vestibule and decorated by a rose window and reliefs.
The right flank is austere and the front flank is simple in construction. In the internal part there are unexpected decorative elements and architectural forms.
Chiesa dell’Annunziata church was constructed from 1713 to 1715 by Antonio Brusinelli in baroque style. The front portion has two rows of Corinthian pilasters.
The Holy Spirit and the Eternal Father are depicted by an elegant portal under a bas-relief medallion. There are two side niches that comprise of the Holy Angel declaring the Immaculate Conception of Christ to the Madonna.
In the Diocesan Museum of Trento the particular sections are displayed in a chronological order either by theme or by author.
There is a painting section that exhibits an absolute view of the local production as well as of its relations with the Austrian, Venetian and Lombard cultures ranging from the Middle Ages to the Neo-classic era.
