Florence,with it's student population has a very lively nightlife scene with events happening on many nights, the scene is constantly evolving as music venues and clubs come in and out of fashion like the designer clothes of the many fashion stores and florentine boutiques!
Look out in the city for flyers, posters, check also the local newspaper as many events seem to happen at the last minute! The major concerts are held in the PALASPORT (Campo Marte is nearby) and for live music check out the H2O2 in the Santa Croce area (Via Pandolfini) there many international students gathering and meeting up here as well as locals. There's music of all styles and Saturdays live bands are on stage rocking the place up! The place is open from 11pm till 4am and on the second floor a nice chill out zone awaits those of you wanting to relax...
A very famous venue for music, especially alternative Italian bands, is TENAX in Via Pratese just a little way out of Florence towards the nearby town of Prato, the place hosts famous DJ's spinning progressive drum n'bass and house!
For rockers the STAZIONE LEOPOLDA is the right spot! It's very near the Cascine park and over the last few years it has become a major venue for rock and also hosts fashion shows often by students of the many fashion and designers schools of Florence. Not to miss!
