The Piazzale Michelangiolo was exclusively designed by Giuseppe Poggi in the year 1869 to provide a viewing point from where one can admire the city. The locals named it the balcony of the city as it offers the most spectacular views of the city. Moreover, this is a significant stop for the tourists and one can simply take in the breathtaking view below and enjoy the stalls nearby.
