Florence is a tourist hot spot in Italy. Unfortunately it can become quite pricey at times but with a little good will and a love for waliking a lot of the city's treasure can be seen on a Budget.
The Porta Romana park is a beutifull garden were to walk in and submerge yourself in nature. Keep an eye out for the Canova statues hidden among the elegantly trimmed bushes. For a full view of the city head to the famous terazza also called giardino dei Boboli where the famous Florence cathedral dome plays the part of the lion on the Florence view that opens in front of you.
A short walk from the terazza throught the beautiful quarter of the Giardini Reali and the Ponte Vecchio and you'll fine Piazza della Signoria where a vast erray of classical statues are visible in front of the mayor's building.
Admire Michelangelo's David but also more hidden gems as Ercole e Caco of Baccio Bandinelli and Benvenuto Cellini.
