The Cathedral of San Martino was probably founded in the 6th century and was rebuilt in 1060 to 1070. It was completed by the 14th century. This Romanesque cathedral is situated in the piazza San Martino and next to the walls. This historic building is considered as the largest church in Lucca and is built in grey and white marble with a statue of San Martino drawing his sword and riding his horse.
