San Frediano basilica is a Romanesque beautiful church located in Lucca. Fredianus or popularly known as Frediano was an Irish bishop of Lucca during the first half of the 6th century. He had a church built on this spot which was dedicated to St. Vincent. When Frediano was buried in this church, it was renamed St. Frediano and Vincenzo. This church acquired its present appearance of a Roman basilica during 1127 to 1147.
