Opera del Duomo museum in Pise is home to some important artwork and artifacts from the Romanesque Cathedral which was originally constructed in the early twelfth century.
In addition to the religious artifacts, the museum also exhibits a great collection of old manuscripts and books with original carvings. The museum has a garden and courtyard area that offers wonderful views of the leaning tower and the Cathedral.
