Pisa: Streets, Squares and Neighbourhoods

This is the commercial street centre and has a number of arcades. In the middle ages this street was linked by 2 bridges over the Auser River to the north and the Arno to the south. Initially small workshops were opened which later developed into an urban center with huge storage rooms and residential quarters of the merchants who sold goods.
