Teatro Verdi hosts ballet and theatrical performances other than opera and concerts in Pisa, Tuscany. There is a wide range of related activities which are carried out here like workshops, seminars and lectures, for 300 days a year.
The building where the theater is housed in is known to be one of the most beautiful historical theaters in the central part of Italy. With a pleasing historical ambiance and cutting edge state-of-the-art equipments, the place is worth visiting. Inaugurated way back in 1867, the theater activities have been organized since 1979.
Run by the Pisan Theater Association, the place went through many renovations and refurbishments in late 1980s. Presently, it boasts 900 seats, which is divided between the orchestra and five tiers.
