Pecci Garden

The Pecci Garden was built between the period 1326 and 1420 and is known as one of the most well preserved green spaces of medieval Siena. At present, this garden is situate inside the city walls and covers one hillside of the S. Agostino valley. Here, one can find flower beds and old specimens of exotic and local plants too. There are three greenhouses here that enclose total 500 square meters of area. The history of this garden dates back to 1588 when the university raised medicinal herbs here.
