The Carnival of Viareggio is a carnival event which is held in a yearly basis in Viareggio. This event is also known amongst the most renowned carnival celebrations in Europe and Italy. The carnival season is held during the period of lent with a parade which takes place each weekend during the month of February. As the city has a long history of boat and ship manufacturing, the parade includes Super Yachts which are manufactured in the factories.
